The left sidebar is gone. We-Fly now has a light top bar, ⌘K search, filters that open right where you are, clear back links and five thumb-friendly tabs on your phone. Every page wears the new look and the 3D replay got roomier. Plus: competition airspace files, a community flight map, following pilots, Flyable now, XC planner goodies and flight times that finally stop at landing.

The 3D replay now explains your flight instead of just redrawing it: the wind at your altitude, a live glide ratio, thermals that lean with the drift, community hotspots, the pilots who were up with you, and the ground you could still reach. Same Day in 3D reads like a race, with a live ranking, shared thermals and jump-to moments. Live tracking links gain a 3D view. And every replay can now be shared with a private, revocable link that anyone can open, no account needed.

You can now add a passkey to your existing We-Fly account and sign in with one tap: your fingerprint, your face, or the PIN you already use to unlock your phone or laptop. There's no password to type or forget, and nothing secret stored on our servers for anyone to steal. It's an extra key to the same account, not a replacement: Google, Facebook, GitHub and email sign-in all keep working exactly as before. Add one from Profile → Sign-in methods.

A pilot in Finland wrote in with two things towing pilots have always wanted, and both are live now. Mark a flight as towed and the straight winch climb stops counting as your first thermal: thermalling begins where your first circle does. And in the Same Day tab you can drop in an external IGC (a friend's track, a pilot who isn't even on We-Fly) and line it up against your flight on the map, altitude, thermals and phases. It's read once for the comparison and never stored anywhere.

The XC Planner used to be a toolbox; now it's a route from a blank map to a finished briefing. Design your line and pick the date, see only the airspaces along your flight, pull the NOTAMs that are live on the day, then walk out with one OpenAir file containing both, the day's forecast from the right weather model, and a 3D fly-through of the whole plan before you've left the sofa.

If you fly with Flyskyhy on your iPhone or iPad, you can now send the flight you just landed straight into your We-Fly logbook: no cable, no computer, no dragging files around. We taught We-Fly to speak the "Leonardo" upload protocol that Flyskyhy already knows, so it's a five-minute, one-time setup. Land, tap "Upload to We-Fly," done.

Community pilot Frédéric Tétart got tired of dragging IGC files around after every flight, so he wrote a small script that copies new tracks off his UltraBip vario and sends them straight to We-Fly through our public API, and we're sharing it, step by step, with a bonus trick that makes your Mac run it all by itself the moment you plug the vario in. No installs, no coding knowledge needed.

One click on the flight map now checks your flown track against controlled and restricted airspace (horizontally and vertically, against real terrain), lists every incursion, and lets you open the offending line straight into the XC Planner to plan a better one; meanwhile the planner learns to design real FAI triangles and proper competition zones, draw and export your own airspaces as OpenAir, and round-trip your waypoints without losing a single code.

Two new features straight from the community: a Comp tab that reconstructs your race from a linked competition task, now with expandable per-leg breakdowns, leading-point shading, a start-delay stat and per-flight start-gate control, plus flight annotations that let you invite a mentor to mark up your flight moment by moment. Both ideas came from pilots at the Ozone Chabre Open 2026.

A flyxc-style cross-country planner lives at /xc-planner: draw a route and score it, switch on thermal skyways to see where the lift usually triggers, paint controlled airspace on the map so you don't bust it, and design FAI/PWCA competition tasks you can export as an .xctsk file or a QR code that scans straight into XCTrack.

Every logged flight now replays on a real 3D globe (terrain, your line, your climbs, your vario) and you can fly two or three of them side by side to see exactly where the day was won or lost.
- 11 jun2026novedad
Attach a real competition task to any flight (turnpoint cylinders, the start and goal, and the optimized route line) pulled from XCTrack codes, comp files, or live from Airtribune, Airscore, PWCA and Flymaster, and drawn straight onto your 2D map, your 3D replay, and your side-by-side comparisons.

The biggest release yet: a full visual overhaul, vector-vario instrument support, Logfly and Google Drive imports, a new Phases tab, and a community season recap.
- 8 may2026novedad
The comparison dialog became a real debrief tool. Also, three flight-analysis subsystems became one, and some of you are going to notice.
- 20 abr2026novedad
Competition rankings, an early-adopter medal, and a season recap dialog with a heatmap calendar of every day you flew.

How 1,384 flights got reclassified after we taught We-Fly to tell the difference between footwork, a winch, a tow plane, and a motor.

A new stats dashboard, a takeoffs map with heatmap and clustering, and one deliberate decision about which flights count.

Some flight instruments can't tell the difference between January 25th and the year 2025. Here's why that matters and what we did about it.
